The project days held by the Ada Lovelace Project are aimed at schoolgirls who are interested in scientific subjects. On weekends and during school vacations, you can work on science-related questions, get firsthand information about the degree programs from the project’s mentors, and explore your own strengths and abilities for these subjects in the tasteMINT assessment of potential.
In the NaT-Lab, individual pupils or even entire classes have the chance to discover their passion for science outside of school. Science experiments are carried out in experimentation sessions, on research days, or in academies during school vacations, allowing the pupils to get firsthand experience in different subjects.
From working in the PC lab and tours of the particle accelerator to the presentation of current research projects in “Saturday morning physics” – anyone interested in physics, mathematics, or computer science is sure to find something exciting at JGU.
Whether you are still in school (12th/13th grade) or already a secondary school graduate – you can apply to take a taster course in chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, and geosciences, held every semester. This course gives you the opportunity to shadow students in these subjects on campus for a week. You will attend regular first-semester classes and get to know the subject, lecturers, and our campus. You will also have a dedicated student mentor available during this week to answer any questions you may have about studying.
If you are interested in studying Protestant Theology and are at least in the 12th grade, you can apply for a spot in the taster course. This course gives you the opportunity to shadow a student in this subject on campus for a week and attend regular classes with them. Your student mentor is also available to answer any questions you may have about studying and student life during this week.
