JGU aims to offer the support you need to successfully complete your program of study whatever your personal circumstances may be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this reason, different service points have been created at the university to help you overcome any hurdles you may encounter during your studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \n\n \n\n

The Office of Accessibility<\/a> (SBS) is a contact point for students with disabilities and chronic and mental illnesses. The office advises on topics related to studying, can help out in your everyday academic life, and provides information on disadvantage compensation during your studies. It offers information on accessibility on campus and organizes campus tours for students with visual impairments. Additionally, it can provide a wide variety of technological aids.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The autonomous unit for students with disabilities and chronic illnesses<\/a> (Autonomes Referat f\u00fcr Behinderte und chronisch Kranke<\/i>, ABeR) is also available to offer support. For example, you can apply there for reimbursement of the regional transit ticket costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \n<\/jgu-base-buttonitem>\n\n<\/jgu-base-buttonitem>\n\n<\/jgu-base-button><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Other institutions also offer support in difficult situations, among them the Catholic University Chaplaincy<\/a> or the Protestant University Chaplaincy<\/a>. In addition to providing advice, the office focuses on developing support services and organizing events on anti-discrimination, diversity and equality issues.
