The Pharmaceutical Sciences<\/a>, Dentistry<\/a>, and Medicine<\/a> programs always receive a much greater number of applications than there are spots available. These three programs therefore have selective admission at all German higher education institutions. If you earned your school leaving certificate abroad and are not a citizen of Germany, an EU country, or an EEA country, submit an application for the state examination programs Pharmaceutical Sciences, Medicine, and Dentistry to JGU<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n \n<\/jgu-base-alertbox>\n\n\n \n<\/jgu-base-anchornavigation>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

In addition, visiting a Studienkolleg<\/i><\/a> or a preparatory German language course<\/a><\/strong> may be necessary before you can apply for a spot at the university. The certificate of recognition will include information on which type of university entrance qualification the recognition of your international certificates resulted in. The result of the certificate of recognition and your language proficiency will determine your application options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For degree programs with restricted admission, only a limited number of spots are available. In general, there are more applicants than spots. Therefore, a selection procedure takes place, which generally aligns with the minimum grade for university entrance qualification<\/a> (numerus clausus = NC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3% of the spots<\/strong> are available for international applicants. Special wait time or hardship regulations do not apply to this quota. The NCs of the past semesters can give you an idea of the NC to be expected for the coming selection procedure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \n<\/jgu-base-buttonitem>\n\n<\/jgu-base-button>\n\n\n \n<\/jgu-base-alertbox>\n\n\n\n

Do you want to apply for the Pharmaceutical Science, Medicine, or Dentistry program on the basis of vocational training completed abroad? In that case, you will first need a valid university entrance qualification (Hochschulzugangsberechtigung, HZB<\/i>) from JGU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, before you can submit an application for the HZB<\/strong>, your vocational training must be compared with a German reference occupation to determine equivalency. You can find more information here<\/a>. However, no grade will be determined during that process. To receive a grade, an application for the recognition of international certificates<\/a> must be submitted to JGU before you apply for the HZB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This process generally takes six to eight weeks. You will need to submit this document with the calculated grade along with your application to determine a university entrance qualification. You can only apply for a subject-based university entrance qualification with a grade of 2.5 or higher.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n \n<\/jgu-base-buttonitem>\n\n<\/jgu-base-button>\n\n<\/jgu-base-accordionitem>\n\n\n \n\n

Create an account under \u201cApplication\/Registration\u201d > \u201cCreate account\u201d or use the account you created for the recognition of your international certificates.

Select the subject you want to study from among the courses offered and apply for the first academic semester in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Medicine, or Dentistry. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Fill out the form and submit your application online. You may need to submit documents by post. This will be stated on your individualized checklist when you click on \u201cPrint.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Now it\u2019s time to wait while we process your application. If your application is successful, we will upload your official letter of admission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The official letter of admission contains the bank details as well as further information for transferring the semester fee, which every applicant must pay in order to accept their admission. Read the letter of admission to see which documents you must submit by when in order to enroll at JGU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
