The legal basis for this is the Landesgesetz zur Gleichstellung behinderter Menschen (LGGBehM, State Act on Equal Opportunities of Persons with Disabilities) and the Barrierefreie-Informationstechnik-Verordnung Rheinland-Pfalz (BITV RP, Ordinance on Barrier-Free Information Technology Rhineland-Palatinate).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The websites of the domain \u201euni-mainz.de\u201c are currently designed to be as accessible as possible within the scope of technical feasibility. During the university-wide website relaunch, the aim is to further adapt the layout and ensure accessibility for all. Earlier adjustments to the design of the website beyond those planned would constitute a disproportionate burden for Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz as defined in section 7 subsection 3 LGGBehM and the university is therefore exempt from the obligation to provide the accessibility specified in section 7 subsection 1 LGGBehM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
