Semester fee, rent, the cost of books \u2013 your studies need to be financed.

Keep in mind that you have to pay the semester fee<\/a> every semester. Additional expenses may include tuition fees and the costs of books or other materials.

In order to re-register<\/a> by the set deadline, the fee must have been received in the university\u2019s bank account<\/a> by the date mentioned above (July 15\/January 15). Therefore, please make the payment in a timely manner.<\/strong> Even online transfers can take a while to be processed by your bank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \n\n \n\n

To be enrolled at JGU, you must pay a fee each semester. This semester fee does not go to the university, but rather it funds the semester ticket<\/a> and comprises contributions for the Studierendenwerk<\/i> (reduced costs for room and board), for tasks of the student body representative committee, for the University Sports courses, and for the AStA\u2019s special financial aid<\/a> available to students in need. This semester fee is not to be confused with tuition fees, which are only charged when the (prospective) student is 60 years or older.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
