Anyone who studies ancient Near Eastern archaeology is enthusiastic about early societies and is excited about dealing with archaeological and material remains, loves visits to museums and exhibitions, and is ready to visit monuments or excavation sites in the Near East. Curiosity and openness to ideas and achievements outside of Europe are just as important as a spirit of adventure and stamina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Very good German and English skills (ideally also basic reading skills in French) are important for writing, reading and presenting during your studies, as the scientific community in these subjects is relatively small but active worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/jgu-base-accordionitem>\n\n\n \n\n

This subject is a subject of specialization in the ALPHA<\/a> (B.A.) degree program<\/strong>. You can also study this subject as a minor<\/strong> within the two-subject bachelor’s degree program<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
