Would you like to transfer to JGU to continue with your current degree program or apply for a new degree program at JGU that you have not yet been enrolled in? There can be various reasons for transferring between universities. You can find all of the relevant information on this webpage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \n<\/jgu-base-alertbox><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/jgu-base-section>\n\n\n

If you have already studied the identical bachelor’s or master’s degree program or a similar degree program at a university other than JGU, you have the following options when transferring to JGU:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \n\n \n\n

Example 1:<\/strong>
Transfer from the B.Sc. Economics at Goethe University Frankfurt (three academic semesters completed) to the B.Sc. Economics at JGU: You may apply for the first academic semester. If you are admitted and do not submit a certificate of academic semester placement, you will be enrolled in the first academic semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Example 2: <\/strong>
Example: Transfer from the B.Sc. Economics at Goethe University Frankfurt (three academic semesters completed) to the B.Sc. Economics at JGU:
You may apply for the first academic semester. If you are admitted and do not submit a certificate of academic semester placement, you will be enrolled in the first academic semester.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/jgu-base-section>\n\n\n

After enrollment, you can apply for credit transfer in both cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note:<\/strong> You always take unsuccessful attempts to pass examinations with you, regardless of whether or not you have applied for credit transfer.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/jgu-base-accordionitem>\n\n\n \n\n

Example 1:<\/strong> Retention of academic semesters upon transfer
If the degree program title and degree type are identical, you can apply for the semester following your current academic semester. An academic semester placement is not required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Example 2:<\/strong> You are applying for an advanced semester and submit a certificate of an academic semester placement. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Transfer from B.Sc. Business and Economics at Goethe University Frankfurt (three academic semesters completed) to JGU: You are applying for placement in the second, third, and fourth academic semesters, as it is uncertain which credits will be recognized (or some credits are still pending at the time of application), and admission to the program is restricted for advanced semesters as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You are admitted to the second and fourth academic semester, admission for the third academic semester is not possible. You have transferable credits that allow for a placement in the second or third academic semester. For the academic semester placement, you should submit only those academic records to the responsible academic advisory office<\/a> that qualify you for placement in the second academic semester. This will allow you to be enrolled in the second semester upon presenting the placement certificate to JGU\u2019s Student Services.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/jgu-base-section>\n\n\n

Please note:<\/strong> You always take unsuccessful attempts to pass examinations with you, regardless of whether or not you have applied for credit transfer.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/jgu-base-accordionitem>\n\n<\/jgu-base-accordion>\n\n\n\n\n

If you wish to re-enroll in the same degree program at JGU after interrupting your studies or exmatriculating, the number of academic semesters will continue from where you left off. In this case, it is not<\/strong> possible to apply for the first academic semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Example:<\/strong> You completed four semesters in the B.Sc. Biomedical Chemistry degree program at JGU and were exmatriculated due to a missing re-registration. In order to be re-enrolled in this degree program, you are required to apply for the fifth academic semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heads up: <\/strong>If you transfer between universities, a different regulation applies (see transfer between universities bachelor’s \/master’s degree programs).<\/p>\n\n\n<\/jgu-base-accordionitem>\n\n\n \n\n

If you transfer between universities or re-enroll in a state examination degree program, the number of academic semester will continue from where you left off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Exception:<\/strong> For degree programs with nationwide admission restrictions (at JGU this applies to medicine, dentistry and pharmaceutical sciences), you can apply to the Stiftung f\u00fcr Hochschulzulassung for the first academic semester, provided you are not enrolled in the same program (at any university in Germany) at the time of application. <\/p>\n\n\n<\/jgu-base-accordionitem>\n\n<\/jgu-base-accordion>\n\n\n\n\n

Would you like to study at two different higher education institutions in Germany at the same time in order to graduate with two degrees in two different subjects or to have your work credited from one higher education institution to another? Then apply for dual enrollment<\/strong> within the appropriate period<\/a> via JoGU-StINe<\/a>! <\/p>\n\n\n\n \n<\/jgu-base-alertbox>\n\n\n

In order to re-register as a dual-enrollment student in the next semester, you must pay the semester fee<\/a> on time and submit your enrollment certificate from your primary higher education institution by March\u00a031 or September\u00a030<\/strong>, depending on the semester. If the JGU is your primary university, please clarify how to proceed with the other higher education institution. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/jgu-base-section>\n\n\n\n

Depending on your individual situation, there are different ways and possibilities for you to transfer from a university of applied sciences to JGU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

University studies for bachelor\u2019s degree students at a university of applied sciences<\/strong>

If you are studying in a bachelor\u2019s degree program at a university of applied sciences, you can transfer to related degree programs at JGU, provided that you have earned at least 90 ECTS credits. By earning so many credits, you will have acquired the subject-based university entrance qualification for related degree programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To study for a Bachelor of Education, the content of the previous degree program at a university of applied sciences must be related to at least one of the two teaching subjects. To be able to study in the two-subject bachelor\u2019s degree program, the content must be related to the major subject.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is a relationship in terms of content, for example, between the Business Administration degree program at a university of applied sciences and the Economics or Economics and Business Education degree programs at a university. Additional straightforward examples: Economic Law (university of applied sciences) \u2192 Law (university), Social Work or Social Pedagogy (university of applied sciences) \u2192 Educational Sciences (university).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Studying at a university after passing your final examination at a university of applied sciences<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you have successfully completed your studies at a state university of applied sciences, the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society, the Catholic University of Applied Sciences, the Catholic University of Applied Sciences in Mainz, the Deutsche Bundesbank University of Applied Sciences in Hachenburg, the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration Rhineland-Palatinate in Mayen, or the Edenkoben College of Finance, you are entitled to study at a Rhineland-Palatinate university in any degree program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Given the formal equivalence of bachelor\u2019s degrees from universities of applied sciences and universities, graduates from universities of applied sciences also have the option of applying to a corresponding university master\u2019s degree program.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/jgu-base-accordionitem>\n\n\n \n\n

If you have studied for at least one year at a university or comparable higher education institution in the Federal Republic of Germany without a higher education entrance qualification (German Abitur<\/i>, for example), you are entitled to study in related degree programs at a university in Rhineland-Palatinate under the regulations of the University Act of Rhineland-Palatinate<\/a> (see section 33 (4)). The content must be related to at least one of the two teaching subjects in the Bachelor of Education. In the two-subject bachelor\u2019s degree program, the content must be related to the major (subject).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Proof of successful studies is demonstrated by earning 40 credits in at least two semesters of study. Please submit a certificate issued by your current higher education institution to confirm this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note that the certificate issued by your current higher education institution must also specify an overall average grade and must be submitted with your application documents by the deadline.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/jgu-base-accordionitem>\n\n<\/jgu-base-accordion>\n\n\n\n
