Our approach

We always provide you with confidential and open-ended advice, taking into account your individual situation and personal concerns. Together, we will try to work out the right approach for you and support you in developing suitable strategies and making the right decisions. In doing so, we take a look at the solutions, resources and options you can fall back on. We follow the advising concept of the Society for Information, Advising, and Therapy at Universities (Gesellschaft für Information, Beratung und Therapie an Hochschulen e.V., GIBeT – link in German).

What is the best basis for choosing a degree program? Knowing your own interests and abilities well, obtaining an overview of the tracks of study, and gathering ideas about what could possibly fit. Our workshop on choosing a degree program makes this possible in a non-intimidating atmosphere on the JGU campus.

Advisors Franziska, Julia and Annabelle give simple tips and suggestions on how to find the right program of study for you. They also chat with JGU students about their own programs of study.

Should I go to university? What should I study? What exactly does this subject look like? And when do I actually have to complete the application? Answers to the most frequently asked questions about getting oriented are available from the comfort of your own home in our online lecture series.

How do I learn effectively? – Identify obstacles, develop strategies, overcome difficulties.

Our workshop will help you do just that.

(The workshop will be held in German)
